Troop Morale Fund
Below are the most current figures for The Royal Canadian Legion's Troop Moral Fund.
As of May, 2010 the Legion has collected $727,650.21 and expended $634,480.77 delivering
Tim Horton certificates to our troops in Afghanistan. The Legion has recently shifted from
issuing "certificates" to now issuing "gift cards" and to date 6,000 cards have been issued at
a cost of $122,522.64 - 4,000 with $24 credited to them and 2,000 with $12 credited to them.
Each gift card bears a stick-on Legion crest.
If a gift card cannot be used in Kandahar, for what ever reason, it can be used back in
Canada. You should also know that Tim Hortons also supplies coffee tins (1 pound) for all
deployed troops through Operation Santa Claus.
If your branch would like to donate to this fund, please send your cheque to Dominion
Command, c/o The Troop Moral Fund.
