He fought in Belgium and Holland as part of the Royal Canadian Army Signal Corps from 1941 to 1945. Near the end of the war he joined the Cape Breton Highlanders. He is a 38 year Legion member. Submitted by Kings Branch #006. MOORING, Roland WWII Roland was born in Spring Hill, NS. During the war, he was stationed in Mulgrave. Following the war, he established a home and resided in Mulgrave for many years. Submitted by Cambrai Branch #037. MORRIS (MacDONALD), Mora Jean WWII Jean was born August 1, 1923, in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She was a stenographer and joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in 1942, and was stationed in London at a Canadian Army Headquarters, and later in Germany. Submitted by Port Hawkesbury Branch #043. MORRIS, Henry WWII Henry was born in Mulgrave, NS. He served the R.C.R. from May 1940 to November 1945. Submitted by Cambrai Branch #037. MORRIS, Thomas James "Joe E." WWII Joe was born on June 8, 1926, in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He joined the Canadian Armoured Corp on January 4, 1944, and was sent overseas in September 1944. He served in Northwest Europe in February 1945. Assigned to Governor General’s Footguards, Fourth Armoured Brigade Fourth Division. He was discharged in June 1946.
