He served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, and Germany from 1941 to 1945. He received eight medals and returned home to Mulgrave. He and his wife raised three daughters and three sons. Submitted by Cambrai Branch #037. BOURQUE, John Peter WWII John was born in Sluice Point, Yarmouth County, NS on December 8, 1909. He served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment from 1940-45 in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Italy. He was discharged on September 22, 1944. He was awarded the 1939-43 Star, the Italy Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Medal of Remembrance – Liberation of Holland. John passed away on April 24, 2005. Submitted by Yarmouth Branch #061. BOUTILIER (HOLT), Isabel L. WWII Isabel was born on December 31, 1926 in Port Morien, NS. She was the daughter of George H. Boutilier and Maude E. (MacLeod) Boutilier. She was a corporal and was part of the Bombing and Gunnery School and No. 6 Repair Depot. She married William Holt. Submitted by Port Morien Branch #055. BOUTILIER (YOUNG), Kathleen WWII Kathleen was born in Swindon, England on April 27, 1921, the daughter of Daniel and Florence Young. Private Boutilier served as an orderly and first class cook in the Auxiliary Territorial Service which became the Women’s Royal Army Corps. She was stationed in England from September 16, 1939 to 1945. She married Howard (Buddy) Boutilier and currently resides in Donkin. She is an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #005. Submitted by Donkin Branch #005. BOUTILIER, Charles "Boots" WWII Boots joined the military at the outbreak of World War II and joined up with the 1st Anti-Aircraft Sqn. Due to injuries, he was discharged.
