He served with Bomber Command in England from 1942-1945. He is a Legion member. Submitted by Kings Branch #006. FRIZZELL, Harley WWII Harley served the RCAC in the United Kingdom and Normandy. He was killed in action on June 8, 1944 in Caen, Normandy. Submitted by Hants County Branch #009. FRY, Murray "Tucker" WWII Tucker was born in March 1922 in Halifax, N.S. He joined the Army in 1942 and served in Italy, France, Belgium and Holland. He is a 53-year Legion member, as well as a charter member of Fairview Branch #142. Submitted by Fairview Branch #142. FULTON, J. Donald L. WWII Don was born in Truro, N.S. and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in June 1940 and in his own words “was fortunate to be assigned to Pilot training.” In February 1941, after extensive training, Don was sent overseas. He was eventually posted to Leemington Yorkshire on 427 Squadron and on his seventh trip was attacked by enemy fighters. Only three aricrew survived and were concealed by the French Underground. When Don was repatriated to Canada, he was posted to Debert as an Air Controller. Don is now retired in Truro, N.S. from the insurance business. He is a Past President of Branch #026. Submitted by Colchester Branch #026. GIBSON, Lloyd Norman WWII Lloyd was born in November 1923 in Annapolis Royal, NS. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941, serving in Canada and the United Kingdom as Night Fighter Pilot. He was discharged in 1945 as a Flying Officer. After the war, he was employed as a pilot for Maritime Central Airways, Air St. Pierre, Eastern Provincial Airways, and Canadian Airlines, until his retirement in 1983. Lloyd passed away in March 2002. Submitted by Lumsden Branch #074.
