He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1940-45 as a member of the 1st, 2nd and 402nd squadrons. Submitted by Bear River Branch #022. JAMIESON, Gordon John WWII On August 29, 1941, Gordon joined the R.C.N.R. He served on High Seas aboard HMCS Fredericton. He married Martha Walsh in 1944. Gordon returned to Mulgrave on August 20, 1945 and raised his family there. Submitted by Cambrai Branch #037. JENSEN, Luther WWII Luther was born at Salmonherst, NB in 1923. He joined the RCAF in 1942 as an Aero Engine Tech and served in Gander, Greenwood and Penfill Ridge. He volunteered for duty in the Far East but the attacks on Japan ended hostilities and he didn’t get to go. He was discharged in 1945. He now lives in Middleton and is a 51-year member of Branch #001. Submitted by Middleton Branch #001. JOUDREY, Phillip S. WWII Phillip was born in Mahone Bay, N.S. in 1919 and lived most of his entire life in the Mahone Bay area. Phillip served in the Canadian Army from 1942-1944 in Canada & Newfoundland. He lives with his wife, Roseallie, in their own home and is still a member of Branch #049 Legion, Mahone Bay, N.S. Submitted by Mahone Bay Branch #049. KELLOWAY, Wilson Robertson "Chick" WWII Wilson enlisted in 1941. He served in Canada, England, France, Holland, and Berlin. He was wounded twice, once critically. He served with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, later with the Cape Breton Highlanders. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, War Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, Defence Medal and 1939-45 Star (Battle of Britain) Medal. He was discharged in 1945 with the Rank of Private.
