www.ns.legion.ca 83 Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion LENNON, Adrian James WWII Adrian was born on September 13, 1918 in Stellarton, NS. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Artillery on October 9, 1941 at Halifax, NS. He took his artillery training in Petawawa, Ontario. On November 3, 1941 he was posted to Halifax. He arrived in the United Kingdom on January 20, 1942. He embarked the United Kingdom on July 4, 1944. Disembarked France on July 7, 1944. He was killed in action on July 14, 1944 at age 26. He is buried at Beny-Sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery in France, Lot IX-E-13. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and War Medal. Submitted by Stellarton Branch #028. LILLY, Edgar WWII Edgar was born in June 1920 in Newfoundland. He served with The Merchant Navy out of Halifax, joining in 1940, arriving in such locations as South Africa, India and England. After the war, he worked with the Canadian National Railway until his retirement in 1983. He is a 51-year member of the Legion. Submitted by Fairview Branch #142. LINTON, Robert D. Robert was born in Fairville, N.B. in 1931. He joined the Army and retired as Sgt. He received the SSM Peacekeeping, UNEF, UNCYPRUS, and CD and Clasp. Bob is a member of Calais Branch #162. Submitted by Calais Branch #162. LOCKHART, Hartland "Pop" WWII Joined the RCNVR and became a 1st class shipwright and served overseas. He later joined the RCAF and retired in1976. Pop is a member of Branch #98 Kingston Legion. Submitted by Kingston Branch #098. LODGE, Gilbert KOREA Gil joined the Army {Special Force} RCASC 54th Coy in August 1950. He went to Korea from 1951 to 1952. He was discharged in 1952 and re-enlisted as aero engine tech and retired in 1981. Gilbert is a member of the Kingston Legion Branch #98.
