She served the Canadian Women’s Army Corp from January 1942 to February 1945. She is now retired and lives with her family in Mulgrave. Submitted by Cambrai Branch #037. MacLEAN, William A. WWII Bill was born on December 20, 1919 in West Bay, Cape Breton. He joined the Cape Breton Highlanders on May 2, 1940 and served in Canada, Continental Europe, United Kingdom, and Central Mediterranean Area. He then went regular force on May 14, 1951 and was honourably discharged on May 18, 1961. He and his wife are retired in West Bay, N.S. He is a member of Branch #043. Submitted by Port Hawkesbury Branch #043. MacLELLAN, Charles Roger WWII Roger “The Colonel” was born in New Glasgow, NS and has lived in Canberra, Australia, and now resides in Kentville, NS. He served with the Brockville Rifles, 2nd Glasgow Highlanders, (U.K.) 2nd / 10th Dragoons, Pictou Highlanders, and the West Novies from 1939-1946. He has been a Legion member for 59 years. Submitted by Kings Branch #006. MacLELLAN (MILLS), Edna Annie WWII Edna was born in Three Lakes, Quebec. She has lived in New Glasgow, NS, Canberra, Australia, and now lives in Kentville. She served with the Canadian Women Army Corps for the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1942-1945. Submitted by Kings Branch #006. MacLEOD, Everett C. WWII Everett was born and raised in Sydney, NS and moved to Kentville later in life. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1940 and fought with the #1 Fighter Squadron (414) in the Battle of Britain until 1944.
