MacMILLIAN, Charles Alfred WWII Charles served the Canadian Army with the Halifax Rifles from October 1941 to February 1946. MacSWEEN, Mary (Mayme MacKenzie) WWII Mayme was born in Port Morien, N.S. to Dan and Annie (Williams) MacKenzie on August 27, 1924. She joined the Air Force in 1941 and earned the rank of Corporal. She was stationed in Rockcliff and Trenton, Ont., Dartmouth, N.S., Sussex, N.B. and Gander, Nlfd. from where she was discharged in 1946. Mayme is a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #005, Donkin, N.S. She was married to the late Peter MacSween. Submitted by Donkin Branch #005. MAHONEY, Charles WWII Charles was born on October 19, 1919 in Kentville, NS. He married and moved to Sluice Point, Yarmouth County, NS. He served with the 2nd Canadian Artillery Division as Gunner during World War II. His tour of duty included England, France, Belgium, Holland and Italy. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, the 1939-43 Star, Italy Star, France-Germany Star, Defence Medal, Medal of Remembrance – Liberation of Holland. He was discharged in September 1944. Charles is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kentville Branch #006. Submitted by Kings Branch #006. MALIN, Herbert WWI, WWII Herbert was born on February 22, 1896 in England. He served the Canadian Army with the Over-seas Expeditionary Forces from July 1915 to 1918, holding the rank of Lieutenant.
