He served with the 13th Field Company, R.C.E. in the United Kingdom, Italy and North West Europe from July 1940 to October 1945. WWII Nelson was born in Wolfville, NS in 1921. He enlisted in the West Nova Scotia Regiment in 1940 at the age of eighteen. He later was transferred to the 87th Artillery Battery. He served in England, Holland, Belgium, and was serving in Germany when the war ended. He was discharged in 1945. PORTER, Albert “Pete” WWII Pete was born on January 27, 1915 in Centreville, Kings County, NS. He served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment, 3rd Anti Tank Regiment from 1941 until he was wounded in Belgium in 1944. POTHIER, Jean “Emery” WWII Emery was born in Wedgeport, NS and presently lives in Kentville, NS. He served in the West Novies from 1940 to 1945, serving in France, Italy, and Holland.
