He served with the 21st Canadian Armoured Division during World War Two. He is a member of Kingston Branch #098, The Royal Canadian Legion. He volunteered for service in World War Two and was a member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment. He saw action in the invasion of Sicily, Italy, Holland, France and Germany. After his discharge from service at the end of the war, he worked and lived in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. He was a Life Member of Four Harbours Branch #120, The Royal Canadian Legion. He retired to the Eastern Shore, Murphy’s Cove, where he enjoyed meeting people, telling stories and gardening. He passed away in January 2006 at the Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial Building, where he was a resident for approximately two years. Submitted by Four Harbours Branch #120, The Royal Canadian Legion. PULSIFER, David Lloyd WWII David was born in 1922 in Wittenburg, Colchester County, NS. He served the Canadian Army with the 48th Highlanders in Africa and Italy. He was killed on the night of December 10, 1944 after his unit had made a bridge head over the Lamone River. He was killed with two companions when a mortar bomb exploded by their slit trench. He is interred in the Ravenna British Empire Cemetery, five miles west of Ravenna, Italy. PURCELL, Cyril William WWII Cyril was born on November 26, 1922 in Halifax, NS. He served the Royal Canadian Army in France, Germany, Holland and Italy. He was discharged with the rank of Private. He was awarded the 1939-45 Volunteer Medal and clasp, the France and Germany Star, and the 1939-45 War Medal. Cyril was a member of Fairview Branch #142, The Royal Canadian Legion before he passed away on April 4, 1992. Submitted by Calais Branch #162, The Royal Canadian Legion. PURCELL, Keith Keith was born on August 29, 1922. He served the Royal Canadian Air Force in Germany and Netherlands. He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
