He served in Canada, on the high seas, Newfoundland, West Indies and Britain. He was honourably discharged with the rank of Petty Officer in 1946, after completing twenty-two years of service. He served on various ships, most notably, H.M.S. Cornwall, taking part in the Falkland Island Battle and the landing at Suvla Bay, Dardanelles. He came on H.M. Aurora to Canada in 1920 and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he served until 1931. WILLIAMS, Leonard WWII Leonard was born in England, came to Canada in 1923, and joined the Canadian Army (Permanent Active and Regular Forces) in 1935. He served in Canada and Labrador, being honourably discharged in 1957 with the rank of Warrant Officer 1st Class. WILLIS, Austin WWII Austin joined the Navy in 1941 as a war correspondent and served in Europe. He was also involved in video taping veterans across Canada.
