He served the Navy aboard Bonaventure, Athabaskan in Gollen Heights and on the high seas. Michael passed away in 1987. Submitted by Centennial Branch #160, The Royal Canadian Legion. BUTLER, Alexander “Sandy” Korea Sandy was born on July 1, 1931 in Halifax, NS. He served the Royal Canadian Army in Korea, Debert, Gagetown, Germany, Winnipeg and Shilo. He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Submitted by Calais Branch #162, The Royal Canadian Legion. BUTLER, Angus Korea Angus was born, raised, and currently lives in Kentville, NS. He served with the 1st and 2nd Field Regiments under the 25th Brigade. He served in Korea for three years and four months. He was a past member of the Executive of Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion, as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Vice, Sports and Poppy Chair, during his forty-five years of service. He was killed in action in Caen, France on July 8, 1944 at the age of seventeen. CAMERON, Alexander WWII Alexander was from Fairmont, Antigonish County, NS. He was killed in action in Cleve, Germany on February 27, 1945 while serving with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He is buried at Canadian Military Cemetery, Nijmegen, Holland.
