He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served from 1951-1963. He served with the 3RCHA in Canada and Korea. He made his home in Cheticamp. CHIASSON, Wilfred WWII Wilfred was born in Cheticamp, NS, son of the late Leonard and Liza Chiasson. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1942 at the age of twenty-one, and served until 1946. He served with Le Regiment de Maissonneuve in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Holland.
