He served from 1944 to 1946 with the West Nova Scotia Regiment. Archie was a member of Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion for thirty-four years at the time of his death in 2002. He served the Canadian Forestry Corp in Europe, Canada and the United Kingdom. Jay was a Life Member of Bear River Branch #022, The Royal Canadian Legion at the time of his death in 1998. He enlisted on September 27, 1915, and served with the 2nd Canadian Pioneer Battalion. He sailed for France on December 6, 1915. WWII Frank joined the Army in Windsor Hants Co. in 1944, and did his basic training in Aldershot. He was shipped overseas with the West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in Italy. There, he was wounded. When he rejoined ranks, he was transferred to the North Nova Scotia Regiment. He served in Germany and Italy. He was President of the Veterans Council at Veterans Memorial Building, Halifax. He was a member of Hants County Branch #009, The Royal Canadian Legion.
