HENDERSON, Charles Stanley Russell WWII Russell was born in Saint John, NB in 1924. He served the Royal Canadian Navy on the Brunswicker, Cornwallis, Transona, Stadacona, Niobe, Stamshaw, Sious, Perequin, Captorz on the high seas, the Atlantic, in the United Kingdom, France and Germany. He was awarded the War Service Badge “General Service,” the 1939-1945 Star with Atlantic Clasp, the France-Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, and the War Medal 1945. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 30, 1941 and was honourably discharged on October 16, 1945. During that time, he served in Canada, the British Isles and North Africa. He was a Flight Sergeant and received the Italy Star, Defence Medal 1939-1945, Wireless Air Gunner Badge and CVMSC Medal and clasp. HENSHAW, Sheldon Manning WWII & Korea Sheldon was born in 1924 in Lockhartville, Kings County, NS. He enlisted in Halifax in 1939 with the North Nova Scotia Regiment. He served in Italy during World War Two, and also served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Black Watch R.H.R. of Canada until his death in 1952. Submitted by Dr. C. D.
