He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 27, 1941 in Moncton and served in Canada and Labrador until his discharge on February 28, 1946. Copp passed away on June 5, 1985. ANNAND, Donald Melvin WWII Don was born on July 17, 1924 in Truro, N.S. He served with the R.C.A.F. during WWII and traveled the world in the Merchant Marine before and after his Air Force service. Don worked for Tidewater Construction of New Glasgow from 1947-1952; moved to Stewiacke, N.S. where he operated the Superline Oil garage and service station, which he later bought and operated under the Petrofina & Esso badges until his retirement in 1992. He served with 5 LAA Regiment, 88 Battalion from 1941 to 1945 in England, Italy, and North West Europe. He also served with RCOC from 1951 to 1972.
