Submitted by New Germany Branch #102, The Royal Canadian Legion. MOULINS, Peter L. WWII Peter was born in Westmount, Nova Scotia in 1924. He served in the Service Corp in England, Belgium, France, Holland, and Germany from 1944 to 1946. He was awarded the France Germany Star, and the CVSM and clasp. MURPHY, Clyde Fenwick WWII Clyde was born at The Lodge, Lunenburg Co., N.S. in 1918. He served in the Canadian Army with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in the UK, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland from 1943 to 1945, and returned home in 1945. Clyde passed away in 1997. Submitted by Middleton Branch #001, The Royal Canadian Legion. MURPHY, James Montique “Monty” WWII James was born in Murphy’s Cove, Nova Scotia in 1915. He was with the Calgary Highlanders and served in Holland, England, Continental Europe and Canada. He served from 1942-1945, and received the 1939-1945 Star Medal, France and Germany Star, and the CVSM. Monty passed away in 1987. Submitted by Four Harbour’s Branch #120, The Royal Canadian Legion. MURPHY, John Allison “Jack” WWII John, who is better known as Jack, was born in Truro on April 4, 1923. He joined the Navy in April 1942 and after Basic Training in Sydney, N.S., he was drafted to H.M.C.S. Iroquois in March 1943. Jack was soon sent overseas and was involved in the "Murmansk Run." He was Honourably Discharged on September 28, 1945. Jack still resides in Truro and is a 55-year member of Colchester Branch #026, The Royal Canadian Legion.
