He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939, and served in England from 1943-1945 and in Germany Post-War. He received the Meritorious Service Medal, Defense Medal, Volunteer Service Medal, NATO, George VI Service (Canada), George (IV) SVI G. BR Bruce passed away in 2007. He served with the 4th Battalion Canadian Infantry, Central Ontario Regiment in France as Lance Corporal. WWII Jack was born in Myers Point, N.S. in 1917. He served as Royal Service Care Cook in the Army in Yarmouth, Windsor and Debert. He did not go overseas but served from 1943-1946.
