He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served with the Volunteer Reserve and Combined Operations in Canada, High Seas and England. He was awarded C.D. and clasps, 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal and clasp, and the War Medal 1939-1945. Lucien passed away on December 19, 1998. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Pictou Highlander Regiment in Canada, the North Atlantic and the Caribbean Area. He was awarded the C.V.S.M. Medal and Clasp. RAYNARD, David “Dave” WWII Dave was born in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia in 1918, and resided in New Glasgow, N.S. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1942 to 1946, and saw active duty in Canada and England. Dave has been a member of Trenton Branch #29 for 46 years, after transferring his membership from Yarmouth, N.S. Dave is also the recipient of the 50-year medal for membership in The Royal Canadian Legion in 2005, and is also the recipient of the C.V.S.M. & Clasp.
