He joined the Army in Debert in October 1941 as a Storesman. In May 1942, he went overseas where he served in Brarnshot, England, Khaki College in Natford, England, and also in France. TAYLOR, Fred Lewis WWII Fred was born in Lochaber, Antigonish County, NS in 1919. He joined the R.C.A.F. in June 1942 at the age of 23. He served ground maintenance in both Canada and England, and was present to help keep the Allies flying during the blitz over England. Cpl. Taylor was demobilized in February 1946, after being awarded the Canadian Victory Service Medal and Clasp. Following World War Two, Fred became an active member of Arras Branch #059, The Royal Canadian Legion Submitted by Arras Branch #059, The Royal Canadian Legion. TAYLOR, Gerald L. WWII Gerald was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia in 1923. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in England, Germany, France, Belgium and Holland.
