NSCL-07

www.ns.legion.ca 5 Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion Project Chairman’s Message Comrades, this Veteran’s Service Recognition Booklet you are holding represents the 3rd edition in a series of publications in which we will celebrate and honor the lives and accomplishments of the Veterans of Nova Scotia and Nunavut. This Booklet incorporates all the remaining biographies which were submitted for inclusion in Volume #2 of the series. Please note that if you have submitted a biography which is not printed in this issue, it will appear in our next issue. I would like to thank all the Branches who took the time and effort to research and submit the photographs and short biographies included in this 3rd edition in memory of our Veterans and their Comrades, however, there are still many more Branches, and their Veterans who could, and should, be recognized. Please keep in mind that we also have new Veterans in our communities and our Legions who have just returned from duty in Afghanistan. Some of these brave young men and women have returned with wounds - both physical and mental, and over 60 have paid the supreme sacrifice for their country. I would also like to thank Fenety Marketing for their continuing assistance in the production of these booklets and together, we look forward to issuing our 4th Service Recognition edition in the fall of 2008. In Comradeship, Steve Wessel Project Chairman
