He served the Royal Canadian Air Force with the West N.S. Regiment Provost Corps in Canada from January 1941 until September 1946. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and War Medal. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada. He was awarded the C.V.S.M. Medal and Clasp. He served as President of Elsmsdale Branch #048, The Royal Canadian Legion from 1949-1950 and from 1963-1965. George passed away in 1989. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Calgary Highlanders in Germany, Belgium and Holland. He was injured three times; the third time he was injured, he lost an eye and was strapped to the outside of a plane on a stretcher being flown to France. HOEG, Norman Vaughn WWII Norman was born in 1923 in Sackville, New Brunswick. He served in the Canadian Army with the 11th Canadian Field Coy, Royal Canadian Engineers and 2nd Canadian Infantry Division from 1942-1946.
