Submitted by Bear River Branch #022, The Royal Canadian Legion. HULL, James Neilson WWII Jim was born in Scotland on October 29, 1915. He joined the Army in 1941 and was a Dispatch Rider and Provost with Provost 5 Division. Jim spent two years in England, one and a half years in Italy, and one year in Belgium and Holland. He was released in March 1946. Jim resides in Truro, N.S., where he is a 55-year member of Colchester Branch #026, The Royal Canadian Legion. Submitted by Colchester Branch #026, The Royal Canadian Legion. HUTT, Alfred Thomas WWII Alfred was born in Owls Head, N.S. in 1920. He joined the Army in 1939 and set sail for England in May 1940. He served as a Sergeant from 1939-1945 with West Nova Regiment in Sicily, England, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. He returned home in 1945. He received medals for the countries he served in. Alfred passed away in 2003. Submitted by Four Harbour’s Branch #120, The Royal Canadian Legion. HUTT, Kenneth WWII Kenneth served with MS Ontario Lite-S Northton in France, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Newfoundland, Palestine, and South America. He received the following medals: 1939-1945 Star, Atlantic Star, CVSM & Clasp, and the War Medal 19391945. The Ontario Lite’s Cargo was crude oil for France. After France fell to the Germans, the ship routed to South America and made round trips. The M.S. Northton’s cargo was newsprint, bauxite and coal to the Virgin Islands.
