He joined the Algonquin Regiment, Tank Regiment and served in England, France, Holland and Germany. He received the France & Germany Star, and the 1939-1945 Star. Alpheus now resides at Veterans Place at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Submitted independently. LEBLANC, Albert Joseph WWII Albert was born in Concession, Digby County, NS, in 1919. He served in the R.C.A.F. (Works & Building) in Canada. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. LEBLANC, Graydon Melvin WWII Graydon was born in 1919. He enrolled in the No. 60 Canadian Army (B) Training Center on March 4, 1942. He served in Canada, United Kingdom, Continental Europe with the Rank of Corporal. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was discharged on March 9, 1942 to Civilian Life “On Demobilization No. 6 District.” He returned on the boat “Ile de France.” He lived until the age of 70, when he passed away from a pulmonary emboli in 1990 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. LEBLANC, Francois WWII Francois was born in Mavilette, Digby County, NS, on August 21, 1922. He served in the Army, Special Weapons Division in Suffield, AB, in Canada.
