O’TOOLE, Charles Leroy WWII Leroy was born in 1925 at Upper Kennetcook, NS. He joined the Canadian Army, West Nova Scotia Regiment while under-age and served in the UK, France and Germany. He also volunteered for the Pacific Theatre but did not see action as the war ended. He came home in late 1945. Leroy passed away on September 26, 1999. He joined the Regular Force in 1984 and still serves. Jerry is a member in good standing of Harding Branch 144 of The Royal Canadian Legion. He joined the Canadian Army in August 1942, served overseas and was wounded in France in July 1944, resulting in the amputation of his left leg. Ernest currently resides in NS.
