BEAMONT, Victor WWI Victor was born November 24, 1897 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted with the 204th Overseas Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force on March 14, 1916 and was shipped overseas on March 26, 1917. His Discharge Certificate states that he served with the 116th Canadian Infantry Battalion in England and France, and that he was awarded the Military Medal, the War Medal, and the Victory Medal. At the time of his death in 1980, Victor was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 488 in BrechinMara in Brechin, Ontario. Submitted by Colchester Branch 026 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BELLIVEAU, Joseph Norman KOREA Joseph was born in Grosses Coques, NS, in 1935 and served in # 3 RCHA in Korea. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BARTLETT, Joseph Simon WWII & KOREAN WAR Joseph was born in Kentville, NS, on August 10, 1922. He served in the Army in Canada, England and Korea. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BEAMONT, Robert BOER WAR & WWI Robert was born on August 29, 1876 in London, England, and arrived in Canada in 1883. He served in the Boer War from 1901-1902. He joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on December 14, 1914, went to England and served in France and Belgium before returning to Canada and being discharged in March 1917. Robert was wounded in action and was awarded the following medals: Queen’s South Africa, 1914-1915 Star, First World War and the Victory Medal. Robert passed away on September 17, 1964.
