He served with the Cape Breton Highlanders in England and Holland. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. ROBICHEAU, Joseph WWII Joseph was born at Marshall Town, NS, on February 25, 1915. He joined the Canadian Army in 1941 and served in the UK and Continental Europe. He returned home in 1945, and rejoined the Army in May 1951, retiring in May 1965. Joseph passed away on December 20, 1972 at the age of 57. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. RODGER, Robert “Scottie” KOREA Scottie was born on June 2, 1931 in Scotland. He immigrated to Canada on February 23, 1947, where he landed on Pier 21 off Aquitania. Scottie joined the Royal Canadian Navy in October 1950, where he served two trips to Korea aboard HMCS Nootka and Suez, as well as numerous United Nations and NATO trips throughout his twenty-five years of service. Scottie now resides in Liverpool, NS, and is currently serving as President of the Mersey Branch 038 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Submitted by Mersey Branch 038 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. ROBICHEAU, Raymond Eugene WWIl Raymond was born at Westport, Brier Island, NS. He joined the Canadian Army in February 1941 in the 2nd Anti-Tank Regiment. He served overseas in the UK and Continental Europe, returning home in 1946. He was a member of Legion Branch 054 and later Capriquet Branch 092, where he is a Life Member and Past President. Raymond married a Dutch girl in 1946, and they currently reside at Westport.
