He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in England and Normandy. Sapper Clarence Stevens was one of the first to land with the D-Day invasion troops in 1940-1945. Clarence passed away in 1992. He joined the CanadianArmy, West Nova Scotia Regiment in 1941 and served in the UK, Sicily, Italy and North West Europe. STODDARD, Edward WWII Edward was born in Ship Harbor, NS, in 1922. He served with the Princess Louise Fusiliers BCO from 1941 to 1946. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, King George Medal, 1939-1945 Star, Defense Medal, and the Medal of Remembrance for the Liberation of Holland. STEVENS, Vernon Elmer WWII Vernon was born in Lake Charlotte, NS, in 1910. He was LAC Leading Air in the Canadian Army, touring Gander, NL, from 1939-1945.
