He joined the 4th Division 15th Field Regiment and served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Harold returned to Forest Glen and worked as a woodsman and still does some hunting and fishing. Submitted by Carleton Consolidated Branch 167 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BROWN, David H. WWII & KOREA David was born in Parrsboro, NS, in 1924. He joined the R.C.A.S.C. and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, the Far East, Korea, Continental Europe and the USA. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France & Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the War Medal 1939-45, the Korea Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Dutch Medal. He joined the CanadianArmy, Royal Canadian Artillery in 1940 and was commissioned. He served in the UK and Continental Europe, returning home in 1945. He passed away in 1999. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BROWN, Carroll Vernon WWI Carroll was born in West Springhill, NS, in 1898. He served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Carroll passed away in 1937. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BROWN, Donald R. A. PEACETIME Donald was born in Saint John, NB, on February 4, 1933. He was in the Regular Force serving in Canada. He received his honourable discharge in 1983. Upon retirement, he became an Imperial Member of Branch 048, serving as Sergeant at Arms and membership, receiving Top Member Recruiter in NS and second-highest recruiter in Canada. He volunteered for cemetery research for his last post. Donald passed away on September 27, 1997. Submitted by Elmsdale Branch 048 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
