He served the Royal Canadian Navy in Canada from July 29, 1954 to July 28, 1979. Malcolm has been a member of Harding Branch 144 since June 1970 to present, where he is a member in good standing. Submitted by Harding Branch 144 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DEVEAU, Daniel Joseph WWII Daniel was born in Port Maitland, NS, on November 24, 1918. He served with the R.C.A.S.C. in Canada, the UK and Continental Europe. He received the War Medal, the France & Germany Star, and the Volunteer Medal and Clasp. Daniel passed away in 2006. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DEVEAU, Joseph Wallace WWII Joseph was born in Salmon River, NS, on July 19, 1918. He served in the Medical Corps in the Army in Canada and the UK. He received the War Medal, and the Volunteer Medal & Clasp. Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. D’EON, Jean-Baptiste WWII Jean-Baptiste was born on September 21, 1918. He joined the West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in England, Italy, Holland and Canada. He was injured in Italy on August 30, 1944 and returned to service after one month. He received the Holland Medal, the Thank You Canada 1945, the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the France & Germany Star, the Defense Medal and the Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Jean now resides at Veterans Place at Yarmouth Regional Hospital and has been a member of The Legion for over sixty years. Submitted by the West Pubnico Branch 066 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
