DIXON, John Stewart PEACETIME John was born in Corbridge, England, on February 27, 1938. He served in the Navy for five years with the Bonaventure in Shearwater. He received an honourable discharge in May 1960. John was an aircraft engineer for Air Canada and played professional football for the Hamilton Tigers. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 2nd Pioneer Battalion in November 1915 and served in France and Belgium. He returned home and was discharged on May 1, 1919. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DEVILLER, George R. WWII George was born on November 4, 1916. He joined the Army and served in England, Italy, Holland and Germany. He received the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the France & Germany Star, the Thank You Canada 1945 Medal, the Defense Medal, and the King George Medal. DOANE, Charles Asa WWII Charles was born in Dayton, Yarmouth County, NS. He was in the Air Force and served in Toronto, ON. He was a Zone Commander, President of NS Command in 1961, and was instrumental in the planning and construction of Provincial Command on Rainnie Drive in Halifax.
