Submitted by Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAUDET, Joseph WWII Joseph was born in Digby County, NS, in 1915. He joined the Canadian Army, West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in Europe. He was killed in action in 1942. Joseph has a father, two brothers, and a sister who also served. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAUDET, Lezin C. WWI Lezin was born in the District of Clare, NS, in 1889. He joined the Canadian Army, 140th Battalion on November 4, 1916, and served in France and Germany. He saw action in the Vimy Ridge Campaign, and returned home to Canada in 1919. Lezin passed away in December 1978, at the of 89 years. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAUDET, Gerald WWII Gerald was born in Digby County, NS, in 1918. He joined the Canadian Army West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in Europe. He was part of the Normandy Invasion. He returned home in 1945 and now resides in Kennetcook, NS. His father served in World War One, and two brothers and a sister served in World War Two. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAUDET, Leonard J. WWII Leonard was born at Comeauville, NS, in 1924, the son of Lezin Gaudet (WWI). He joined the R.C.N.V.R. in February 1943, and served on convoy duty on the North Atlantic and the Mediterranean. He returned home in September 1945 and now resides with his wife in South Nictaux, NS. He was a member of Clare Branch 052 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
