He served with R.C.E., No. 6 District Depot Canadian Army from May 7, 1943 to June 29, 1946. James was a member of Harding Branch 144 from 1958 and until his death, and was a member in good standing. He passed away in 1981 at Montreal, QC. Submitted by Middleton Branch 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. HARNISH, Harold C. WWI Harold was born in Graywood, Annapolis County, NS, in 1896. He enlisted in the 246th Battalion in 1916, and joined the 185th Cape Breton Highlanders in England, and was later transferred to the 25th Battalion. HARNISH, Guy Hughes WWII Guy was born in Graywood, NS in 1916. He joined the Canadian Army, West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in the UK, Italy, France and Holland. Guy passed away on May 12, 1989.
