He joined the Argyle and Southern Highland and served in Canada and Europe. Doug was known as “Mr.Legion” in the Yarmouth area for many years. He was Past President of Yarmouth Branch 061 and Zone Commander for Zone 12 for many years. Douglas passed away in 2005. Submitted by Yarmouth Branch 061 of The Royal Canadian Legion. HURLBURT, Roland WWII Roland was born in Yarmouth, NS, in 1924. He served with the Armoured Corp - Ontario Tanks in Canada, England and Italy. He was badly wounded in Italy and spent many months recovering in the hospital in England before returning home.
