Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 153 MILLEN, Warren WWII Warren, son of William George and Hattie (Tree) Millen of South Branch, was born in 1924 and enlisted for service and trained in Quebec and Manitoba before going overseas and working at several posts in England. He married Elizabeth Sheehan and made their home in Pictou County where Warren worked at the Trenton Steelworks. He passed away in 1986. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society. MILLER, Allen Henry WWI Allen, son of Henry and Selina (Henry) Miller of Upper Stewiacke, was born in 1892 and enlisted in 1913 with the 193rd Battalion. After the war, he married Carrie (Henderson) Linnell of Massachusetts, and formerly of Camden, NS. They lived in several parts of the United States. Allen passed away in Massachusetts in 1972. MILLER, John “Jack” WWI Jack, son of Henry and Selina (Henry) Miller of Upper Stewiacke, was born in 1888 and served overseas with the 106th Battalion and was wounded at Hill 70. After the war, he married Enid Henley of Pleasant Valley, Upper Musquodoboit, and lived in various parts of Upper Stewiacke. He was a caretaker of Riverside Cemetery for some years. Jack passed away in 1973. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society. MILLER, Curtis Harrison WWII Curtis, son of John and Enid (Henley) Miller of Cross Roads, was born in 1924 and enlisted in 1943 with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, RCIC. He was killed in Belgium on October 18, 1944 at age 20. Curtis is buried in Adegem Canadian War Cemetery, Belgium. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society.
