CAMPBELL, Marion WWII Marion, daughter of Hugh and Emma (Burris) Campbell of Middle Stewiacke, served 3½ years as Leading Aircraftswoman with the RCAF in Canada and Newfoundland. She married Walter C. Brenton of Cloverdale and lived and farmed in Stewiacke East. She passed away in 1987. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society CARDOZA, George Charles BOERWAR George was born in Bethnal Green (London), United Kingdom, in 1884, and served with the 5th Battalion Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge’s Own) in South Africa. He received the Queen’s SouthAfrica Clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal South Africa 1902. He was a Life Member of Digby Branch # 020 of The Royal Canadian Legion. George passed away in 1967. CAMPBELL, William Ross “Bill” WWII Bill, son of Hugh and Emma (Burris) Campbell of Middle Stewiacke, was born in 1914, and served four years in Great Britain with the RCAF, as an Air Gunner with the Pathfinder Squadron.
