Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 5 Project Chairman’s Message Comrades, this Veteran’s Service Recognition Booklet is the 5th edition in a series of publications in which we celebrate and honor the lives and accomplishments of the veterans of Nova Scotia and Nunavut. As mentioned in my message in the last edition, I have included the biographies of the 12 Nova Scotia and Nunavut Veterans we have lost in Afghanistan since 2002. I hope and pray that I do not have to research and write another one of those! In our next edition we will be celebrating the lives and careers of all Veterans who have honourably served in the Canadian Forces (retired) up to and including present day. I look forward to your submissions. I would like to thank all the branches who continue to take the time and effort to research and submit the photographs and bios included in this 5th edition in memory of our veterans and their comrades. I would also like to thank Fenety Marketing for their continuing assistance in the production of these books and together with NS/NU Command we look forward to issuing our 6th edition in the fall of 2010.
