He married Amanda Frances Love and lived in New Glasgow, where he owned and operated Gammell’s Jewellery Ltd. He passed away in 1987. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society. GARAGAN (MacDONALD), Marion WWII Marion joined the CWAC, Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps and trained at MacDonald College at Saint Anne de Belleview and was posted at National Defence Headquarters, Ottawa. She was discharged in 1945 and is the daughter of Sgt. Frederick MacDonald. Submitted by the Dieppe Branch #090 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAULT, John Wallace WWII John was born in Cross Roads in 1918, son of Wallace and Minnie (Fisher) Gault, and served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, RCIC. He was killed in action in Normandy, France on July 5, 1944 and is buried at Beny-Sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, Reviers, Calvados, France. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society. GARRISON, Michael E. KOREA Michael was born in Halifax, NS, in 1934 and joined the Royal Canadian Engineers, serving in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and the USA. Michael was a POW in North Korea for over two years. He now resides in Camp Hill and is a member of Somme Branch #031 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
