Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 141 LUDDINGTON, James WWI James was born in New Harbour, NS in 1896 and was brought up by his Aunt Esther and Uncle Albert Hull of Manchester, NS. His mother died when he was just an infant. He fought his enemies on horseback in WWI from 1914-1918. James passed away in 1953. He will always be remembered and respected for his years of service. LUDDINGTON, Milton Allison WWI Milton was born in New Harbour, NS to the late William Henry and Mary Ellen (Gillie) Luddington and served with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces, the Canadian Pioneers during WWI. He was discharged on May 27, 1919. Milton passed away on July 2, 1951 in Hope, British Columbia and is buried in the Final Resting Place Field of Honour, Mountain View Cemetery, Hope, BC. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MacBRIDE, Malcolm Rufus WWII Malcolm was born in Blomidon, NS in 1926 and joined the Armoured Corps serving in Canada. He was a member of the Habitant Branch #73 of The Royal Canadian Legion. He passed away in 2009. Submitted by the Habitant Branch #073 of The Royal Canadian Legion. LUDDINGTON, Victor Marshall WWII Victor was born in New Harbour, NS in 1921 to the late Raymond and Christina (Sangster) Luddington and joined the 28th Field Battery, 5th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery on October 19, 1942. He was a Gunner with the Artillery and spent the last 18 months of the war serving as a dispatch rider delivering messages by motorcycle between headquarters and the field. He was discharged from active service on January 15, 1946 after spending two years in Germany, France, Holland and Belgium and returned to Drum Head to continue his true passion of fishing, hunting and living in what he called “the best place in the world.” He married Ada Croft and had 4 children and was a member of the Arras Branch # 59 of The RCL. Victor passed away on November 5, 2001. He will always be remembered and respected for his years of service. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
