WWII Earl was born in 1925 and joined the West Nova Scotia Regiment serving in England and Continental Europe and was wounded in action. He was a member of the Digby Branch #020 for 34 years. Earl passed away in 2002. Submitted by the Digby Branch #020 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MOULINS, Joseph Paul WWII Paul was born in Westmount in 1922 and joined the 12th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery serving in France, England, Belgium and Holland. Paul was killed in action in 1945 in Holland. Submitted by the Westside Branch #126 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MUNROE, Kenneth Guy WWII Kenneth was born in Whitehead, NS on December 4, 1919 and joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1941 serving on HMCS “Frontenac” during the war making many trips from Newfoundland to Ireland escorting 5 to 6 ships at a time. It would take them anywhere from 14 to 16 days to sail across the Atlantic waters. It was known as the “Newfie Dairy Run.” Kenneth was honourably discharged in 1945. Torbay Branch #117 is thankful to Kenneth for his contributions during his time served. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MUNROE, Joseph Lincoln KOREA Joseph was born in Charlos Cove, NS on June 19, 1928 and enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army in Halifax in June 1951 serving in Germany between 1951-52. He returned to Canada in 1952 and then entered the Korean Conflict and fought until 1954. Joe worked on the hydrographic boats, which took him to the Artic as well. His dedication to the Branch spanned 40 plus years and he served with honour. Torbay Branch has lost many of its Veterans over the past few years and with the passing of Joe, the Branch has lost one of its most dedicated and respected members. Joe passed away on May 17, 2002.
