He passed away in November 1974 in Montreal, Quebec. He will always be remembered and respected for his years of service. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion. PITTS, Walter Thomas WWII Walter was born in New Glasgow in 1914 to the late Thomas Henry and Phyllis Boucher. His half brother was John Sylvester Pitts. Walter joined the Army in WWII. He was married to the former Violet Tate. He will always be remembered and respected for his years of service. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion. PRINCE (RICHARD), Evangeline “Eva” WWII Eva was born in Charlos Cove, NS in 1922 to the late Vincent and Mary Richard and was in the Air Force Reserves. She married Frank Prince and raised one daughter. Eva passed away in 1991 from cancer. She will always be remembered and respected for her years of service. WWII Valma was born in Poirierville, NS on October 27, 1920 and enlisted with the Nova Scotia Highlanders- Medic in July 1943 serving in England and Italy. He took his training in Aldershot and advanced training in Yarmouth, NS. After arriving in England he was shipped to Italy for the invasion and was discharged in April 1946. He joined The Legion in 1947 and has been a member for 55 years. Valma received the 1939-45 War Medal, the Canadian Decoration, the 1939-45 Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Bar. He passed away on April 25, 2009.
