Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 185 SANGSTER, James William WWII James was born in New Harbour, NS to the late Walter Marshall and Lauretta (McKeil) Sangster and joined the Canadian Army with the Stormont Dundas Glengarry Highlanders from 1940-1945. His medals include the 1939-45 Star, the France/Germany Star, the 1939-45 Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp and the 1939-45 Medal. He is a brother to Floyd Murdock Sangster. James passed away on May 3, 1999 and is buried in the New Harbour Cemetery. Submitted by the Torbay Branch #117 of The Royal Canadian Legion. SANGSTER, Murray Alvin Grant WWII Murray was born in new Harbour, NS in 1923 to the late John M. and Constance Sangster. He joined the Canadian Army and served overseas in the infantry and the RCASC. He was married to the former Christena M. Baker and had one daughter and two sons. Murray spent his employment years with several electrical contractors, DND and Public Works Canada. He passed away on July 12, 2001 and is buried in the New Harbour Cemetery. He will always be remembered and respected for his years of service. SAULNIER, Joseph Dennis WWII Joseph was born in 1929 and joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders serving in England and Continental Europe. He was a member of the Digby Branch #020 for 9 years. WWII Carl was born in 1920 and joined the West Nova Scotia Regiment serving in England, Belgium and Holland. He was a member of the Digby Branch #020 for 2 years. Carl passed away in 2009.
