WWII Eugene was born in Centreville, Digby County, NS in 1924 and joined the RCNVR serving on the High seas. He was a Life Member of the Digby Branch #020 for 47 years. SHEFFIELD, Adelbert Allister WWII Adelbert was born in Wolfville, NS on July 17, 1922 and joined the Army serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France/Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp. Adelbert is a member of the Branch #006 of The Royal Canadian Legion. SIM, Thomas WWII Tom was born in Scotland in 1903 son of the late John and Mary (Kelly) Sim and enlisted in the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders in Hamilton, Scotland in 1921 and served in the British Army on the Rhine in Germany until 1925. After his discharge, he returned to Canada in 1926 and enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941. He was a trainer during the war where he remained until the war’s end. Tom was a member of Branch #028 of The Royal Canadian Legion. In his youth he was active in all sports and when in the British Army he won the welterweight boxing championship in 1922. He was prominent in amateur boxing circles in NS. Tom was a well known violinist and was much sought out in country musical circles. He passed away on July 13, 1973. SHERMAN, Morris Whitney WWII Morris was born in Canning, Kings Co., NS in 1924 and joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders serving in England. He’s been a member of the Branch #073 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 65 years. Submitted by the Habitant Branch #073 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
