WWII Lorenzo was born in Arichat, NS on January 7, 1928 and joined the RCAF- 162 Squadron in Halifax in June, 1941 at the age of 18 and took his basic training in Toronto, then back to Halifax and then to Dartmouth, Labrador and Iceland as part of air force ground crew and then from Iceland to Yarmouth. He was discharged in Moncton on September 27, 1945. After the war he opened his own business, Lorenzo’s Irving Garage for 30 years. He married Corrine Hureau and was married for 62 years and has one son. Lorenzo received the 1939-45 War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp and the 1939-45 Star. Submitted by the Isle Madame Branch #150 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BOUDREAU, Louis E. WWII Louis was born in Boudreauville on January 7, 1916 and joined the Merchant Navy in 1941. In 1943 he joined the army in Sydney, NS and got his basic training in Yarmouth and then Halifax. He worked in the Canadian Dental Clinic in Mulgrave, NS then went on the hospital ship Latisea Canadian and sailed from Halifax to England. He was discharged in March, 1946. He married Alma Gaudet on June 25, 1951. He worked on the S.S. Surf carrying cargo and passengers from Arichat, Canso and Mulgrave and went to Ontario and sailed as a deckhand on the lake boats for 14 years until his retirement. He raised 2 girls and 4 boys. He was a member of the Isle Madame Branch #150 for 49 years. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp, the Atlantic Star, the War Medal, 1939-45. WWII Stanley was born in Petit de Grat on January 25, 1917 and joined the 7 Anti Tank Regiment in Halifax in 1941 and trained in Trenton, NS and then to England and France. He was discharged in 1946 and worked at Booth’s Fishery in Petit de Grat for 37 years then retired. He was married to Marie Alice Martell for 48 years and had 3 sons. His parents were Fred Boudreau and Marie Louise Decoste. Stanley received the France/Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp and the 1939-45 War Medal. Co. in 1935 and joined the navy in June 1954 and was discharged in December 1960 as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. He was in the naval reserve from 1971-1984. He opened a bakery in Petit de Grat and was a teacher at the eastern institute of technology and also a teacher at the Isle Madame District High. He retired in 1984. Peter married Idela Boudreau and have six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. Gordon is also a certified chef de cuisine. He has been a member of the Isle Madame Branch #150 for 52 years.
