Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 39 BOULTON, William Thomas WWII & KOREA & PEACETIME Bill was born in 1923 in Toronto, son of Thomas and Winifred Boulton. He served 35 years in the Infantry in the UK, North Africa, Mediterranean, North West Europe, Korea and Canada.. He was a company commander in Korea, Senior Officer Canadian Contingent of United Nations Emergency Force in Egypt and held a staff position with NATO in Germany, Staff Officer in Headquarters, Eastern Command and London. During his military service he was awarded 12 medals and decorations with 2 clasps. After retirement he worked part time as a writer and reporter for the Queens County Advance. He was a member of the A.L. Patterson Branch #087. Bill passed away in 1990. Submitted by the A.L. Patterson Branch #087 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BOURQUE, Adrian WWII Adrian was born in River Bourgeois in 1921 and joined the Canadian Signal Corps serving in Holland, Normandy, France and Belgium. After the war he went to work for Massey Ferguson in Ontario and then came home and was a Fisheries Officer for many years until his retirement in Arichat, NS. He was a treasurer for Isle Madame for many years and was a Life Member of Branch #150. Adrian received the 193945 War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Bar, the Defence Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the France/Germany Star and the Canadian Decoration Medal. BOYLES, Benjamin Leslie WWII Benjamin was born in Hillside in 1923 and joined the 1st Ontario Tanks and the 1st Canadian Assault Troup (CAT) serving in Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, North Africa and Italy. He passed away in 2008 and had been a member of the Trenton Branch # 29 for 48 years. Submitted by the Trenton Branch #029 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BOUTIN, Conrad William WWII Conrad was born in Arichat, NS on June 6, 1914 and joined the Royal Canadian Volunteer Reserve and was on the Corvette, HMCS “Spikenard”. This ship was sunk by a torpedo on February 10, 1942 and Conrad was killed in action. He was entitled to the following medals: the 1939-45 War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp and the Atlantic Star.
