Boudreau and Ella Jane Delorey of East Tracadie. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Canadian Paratrooper Battalion in Canada, UK and Continental Europe from January 12, 1943 to March 1, 1946. His service medals include the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal 1939-45, the France and Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star, and the Defense Medal. He married Theresa Samson and they have one son and one daughter. They live in Antigonish. After the war, he worked as a mechanic at Antigonish Motors and Sears Canada, until he retired. Submitted by Tracadie & District. BOUDREAU, Gerald Joseph WWII Gerald was born in Pondville, NS on June 6, 1924. He joined the Merchant Marine onApril 18, 1944 and served with the 21st Canadian Corps T.C. in Canada. Gerald was a second cook with D.O.S.C.O. and was discharged on July 23, 1945 for medical reasons. He was awarded the War Medal 1939-45 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Bar. Married to Marion for thirty years, they raised 4 children together while he worked as chief cook on the lake boats in Ontario then as a cook at the Vocational Trade School in Port Hawkesbury. Gerald was a member of RCL Isle Madame Branch #150 in Arichat for ten years before he died on October 16, 1990. Submitted by the Isle Madame Branch #150 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BOUDREAU, John Travis SPECIAL DUTYAREA John was born in Antigonish, NS in 1978. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in 2001 as a Mobile Support Equipment Operator (MSE OP) and during his posting to 1 Svc Bn Edmonton, AB from 2001-2007, he completed a Peacekeeping mission in Bosnia from September 2002 to March 2003 and a combat mission inAfghanistan from February to August 2006. Travis has been with Joint Task Force 2 since 2008. He was awarded the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal, the South-West Asia Service Medal, the SFOR (Stabilization Force – NATO led) and the CS. Travis now resides in Stittsville, ON with his wife Tina and their two daughters. Submitted by the Isle Madame Branch #150 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BOUDREAU, John Raymond WWII John was born in Boudreauville, NS on May 9, 1918. He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve and served as an Able Seaman on HMCS Spikenard which was torpedoed on February 10, 1942. John was killed in action. He was awarded the Canadian War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Bar, the Atlantic Star, and the 1939-45 Star. Submitted by the Isle Madame Branch #150 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
