He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served on HMCS Iroquois, Terra Nova, Gatineau and Cornwallis. He was a Life Member of RCL Centennial Branch #160 before he passed away in 2010. Submitted by the Centennial Branch #160 of The Royal Canadian Legion. FENTON, Morris E. WWI Morris was born in Advocate, NS in 1881. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the 64th Battalion in Europe. He passed away in 1956. Submitted by the Lawrencetown Branch #112 of The Royal Canadian Legion. FORGERON, Raymond Vincent SPECIAL DUTYAREA Raymond was born on July 22, 1964 in Brockville, ON. He joined the Combat Engineer Regiment in 1985, was posted to Valcartier, QC until 1989 and then to CFB Gagetown, NB. Raymond also served in Haiti as a Peacekeeping Officer and was awarded a UN and a Peacekeeping Medal as well as the Canadian Forces Decoration and Bar. His last posting was in 2000 as a Range Control Officer in Aldershot, NS. With his wife, Lorrie, he raised 2 daughters and was a member of RCL Isle Madame Branch #150 for 10 years. Raymond died on August 29, 2010. Submitted by the Isle Madame Branch #150 of The Royal Canadian Legion. FOREST, Edward WWI Edward was born in Arichat, NS on December 5, 1887. He joined the Army on April 19, 1915 and served with the 85th Battery and the 52nd Battalion of the Canadian Infantry, Manitoba Regiment. He served in France where he was killed in action on September 16, 1916. He was awarded the 1914-1918 Star, the Victory Medal, the British War Medal and the Military Medal for bravery on the front lines. Edward is buried in Vimy Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
