Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 67 GARDNER, Michael WWI Michael enlisted with the 94th Battalion onAugust 5, 1914 and was transferred to the 25th Battalion before sailing overseas in September, 1915. In the heavy fighting during October, 1915, he was slightly wounded and after many months of fighting, he was killed in action on October 1, 1916. He joined the Army and served with the 17th Reserve Battalion of the Canadian Infantry. He was killed in action in France on September 18, 1918 at age 23. GEDDES, Donald Lloyd PEACETIME Donald was born on the Magdalen Islands, QC in 1933. He joined the Air Force and served with Mobile Support Equipment as a technician. Donald was a member of RCL Centennial Branch #160 for forty-two years. He died in 2010. Submitted by the Centennial Branch #160 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GARRISON, Lionel Hugh WWI Lionel was born in Indian Harbour, NS in 1894. He joined the Army and served with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles, Quebec Regiment.
