He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1954 and took his training at 2 ANS Winnipeg and CFB Cold Lake. He served at various bases such as: Ottawa, St. Hubert, Chatham, Cornwallis, and NDHQ. Samuel has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 5 years. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. BUTLER, Roy Vincent WWII Roy was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1921. He joined the Army and served in England and Belgium during World War II. Roy was a member of Legion Branch #162 for fifteen to twenty years. He died in 1994. Submitted independently. CAHILL, Francis WWI Francis was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia. He joined the Army and served in France with the 4th Divisional Engineers of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I. He was killed in action at the Somme in France on November 11, 1916. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. CAHILL, Bernard William WWI & WWII Bernard was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia. In World War I, he joined the Army and served in Europe with the 24th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. During World War II, he served with the Voluntary Guards of Canada.
