He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served in the Armoured Corps, joining in 1954 and training at Petawawa, Ontario. He served for more than 25 years at the Petawawa, Gagetown, Fort Chambly, Cornwallis bases, and in Germany. David has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 30 years. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. CHALMERS, Robert F. PEACETIME Robert was born in 1936 in Digby, Nova Scotia. He joined the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps in 1953 and trained at Valcartier, QC. He served for 39 years at the following: Halifax Depot, 2 Inf Bn Valcartier, RCD CFB Petawawa, A Squadron Germany, RCD Gagetown, Egypt, Cyprus, CFRS Cornwallis, BGSO Cornwallis, LDSH Germany, 8 CH Petawawa, and RCAC Gagetown. He served more than once at some of the aforementioned places. Robert has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 17 years. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. CHUBBS, Rodney PEACETIME Rodney enrolled in the Army in 1979 as a Military Policeman. He completed his QL3 course and was posted or deployed to: CFB Calgary; a UN Peacekeeping tour in Cyprus; CFB Cornwallis in 1983 where he met and married his wife, Margie; Baden-Soellingen in 1989; Goose Bay, Labrador in 1993; C.M.B.G. Military Police Platoon, Petawawa in 1996; andAfrica and Bosnia. InAugust 2001, he was back in Goose Bay then in 2007, was posted to 14 Wing as MP Detachment MWO. In January 2009, MWO Chubbs was deployed to Afghanistan as the International M.P. Company Sergeant-Major and was also appointed the Canadian Element COMKAF H.Q. Sergeant-Major. Effective April 1, 2011, MWO Chubbs was appointed 3 Military Police HQ Squadron Greenwood Sergeant Major. Flights under his appointment are 31 Flight Greenwood, 32 Flight Bagotville, 33 Flight Gander and 34 Flight Goose Bay. Submitted by MF/Command. CHISHOLM, James R. WWII James was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia. He joined the Army during World War II and served in Europe with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. James was a member of Captain Angus L.
